SPAudit (Macintosh Version) License Agreement
`````````````````````````````````````````````
SPA as publisher and Apple as developer are providing SPAudit, free of charge,
as a service to both the software industry and the end user community. SPAudit
is designed to help end users perform an applications inventory, an essential
first step in ensuring that software programs resident on any computer system
are authorized copies. Members of the SPA have provided information that
enables SPAudit to identify hundreds of programs. SPAudit will not tell you
whether the copies resident on your system are authorized or unauthorized.
Review of purchase records and other information will be necessary to make that
determination, but if upon completion of a software audit you discover that any
programs are unauthorized, SPA requests that you destroy them and secure
authorized copies.
By this license agreement, SPA as publisher and Apple as developer give you
permission to make as many copies of the SPAudit program and accompanying
documentation as you believe are necessary to perform an effective software
audit within your company. You may make copies for any department, division,
subsidiary or related organization, but you many not transfer, lend, rent,
lease or assign the software to a different company or unrelated organization.
If a different company or unrelated organization wants a copy of SPAudit, they
must contact SPA and the software will be provided to them, free of charge.
SPA as publisher and Apple as developer retain title to and ownership of the
software. All copies and portions of the software, in any form, belong to SPA
and Apple, which retain all rights not expressly granted. Nothing in this
Licnese Agreement constitutes a waiver of either SPA's or Apple's rights under
the US copyright laws or any other Federal or State law. Any authorized copies
of SPAudit must include both SPA's and Apple's copyright and trademark notices
as appropriate.
SPAudit is provided to you without charge, "as is." Neither SPA as publisher
nor Apple as developer makes any warranties or representations, either express
or implied, with respect to this software, the disks or documentation,
including but not limited to, their quality, merchantability, or fitness for a
particular purpose. In no event will either SPA as publisher or Apple as
developer be liable of direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential
damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software or
documentation, even if SPA or Apple have been advised of the possibility of
such damages. SPA as publisher and Apple as developer are not responsible for
any costs including, but not limited to, those incurred as a result of lost
profits or revenue, loss of time or use of the software, loss of data, the
costs of recovering such software or data, the cost of substitute software,
claims by third parties, or other similar costs.
Some states may restrict our ability to limit or disclaim certain warranties.
For example, some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or
consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
If you have any questions about this License Agreement, write to SPAudit, 1730
M Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20036.
